I am always looking to improve our betting strategy. This holiday weekend we are trying a live bet test (separate from our normal bank). In this strategy we save about half our funds for after the cut. I am posting 2 separate tests this week for both tours.
FAVORITES VS LONGSHOTS!

This makes sense mathematically, because favorites in the running could go to 3-1 fast. Also, medium and longshots bets should only fall to around 30-1. The risk here is missing a big payoff on a longshot that takes the lead early.

This does leave us vulnerable if a low odds favorite runs away with it early. It could also save us a lot of money on favorites that do not show up. We may add a few favorites early as we go along. I'll be checking odds and adding bets on Bovada.com Friday after the cuts. We'll just have to see how it works?
