GOLF PICKS 2014 JOHN DEERE

THIS TOURNEY IS A BAD BET
WITH A FEW EXCEPTIONS

Everyone is in Europe preparing for the British Open or Playing in the Scottish.
So, the Odds on the Favorites this week are total crap. None of them are worth 10 or 12 -1.
I did have a vison earlier in the year of a Spieth / Sticker Shoot Out.
This would be the week and fun to watch if so.
However, Spieth has never played well when partnered with Stricker.
I dont see a lot of energy in that pairing. We'll see?  Hope I'm wrong.

12-1 Steve Stricker $35
Owns the Place with 3 Wins - he is trending but no sure thing vs a field of trending young stars.
He fell off the leaderboard hard on Sunday last week. At 12-1 the books should be ashamed.

10-1 Jordan Spieth $50
Is Kind of Trending. But his only win came here last year with a lucky bunker chip in to make a playoff. I like him - but at 10-1 it's no bargain.

14-1 Zach Johnson $35
May be the best favorite Value at 14-1 - He has 4 top 3s in the last 5 years. But with an MC and nothing lower than 40th in his last 5 outings - again - no bargain.

The Goods News:
Some Real Contenders at Good Odds.
50-1 Billy Hurley  (My Top PIck)
2 Top 10s in the last 2 weeks. 4th at Deere last year.

50-1 Summerhayes $10
12th Last year.

80-1 Shawn Steffani $10
Trending

80-1 Scott Langley $10
Trending

Great Longshots

125-1 Bowditch $5

125-1 Danney Lee $5

125-1 Cantlay $5
and half a dozen more (See Below)

Steve Stricker - Worlds Greatest Putter - Off His game
For the 2nd time in just a few weeks - Stricker Faded from Atop the Leaderboard.
Although he was in contention, He missed a lot of puts inside 10 feet. It remains to be seen whether or not he will also fade away from the list of top competitors on tour.

Jordan Spieth- Too Little /  Too Late
Shot Even on Thursday when everyone else was bagging birdies.
He tried to repeat last years Sunday comeback. He made a run and had a chance. But a late round bogie ended any hopes of that.

Zach Johnson - In Form - Close - But No Cigar
Zach gave Harman the best run for his money. However, in the end, he was a stroke or 2 short.

POWER RANK LONGSHOT WINS AGAIN!

(-23) Brian Harman - "Easy Like Sunday Morning".
Once again this year - a 100-1 Longshot won on the PGA Tour.
He had an elated smile through all 4 days and played nearly perfect all 4 Rounds.
If he wasn't making Birdie - it was a tap in for par.
This one was especially painful for me.
I've had money on him every week for 10 weeks.
But after missing Cabrerra on the bet sheet last week - limited funds.
Couldnt cover all my picks. With back to back missed cuts recently and nothing but missed cuts at Deere, I am not to bummed. But seeing him get his firt win and not cashing in hurt. Whah....

Lady in Wating
His Fiance Looks on as He 2 Puts for the Win.
(Nice Camera Work CBS)

"Where's My Lady?
He didn't Care About he TV Cameras
or the Attention. Just shouted
"Where's My Lady?

 Way to Go Brian!
