__________THAILAND__________
_______FINAL ROUND______

WHAT YOU MISSED AT 3 AM

When I went to the book on Wednesday, I made my bets and 2 picks for a friend I owed a favor. They were just $5 bets - so I needed decent odds to make it worth him watching in the early morning hours on Golf Channel. I had to just pick just one winner for each tourney. I chose (Michael Thompson 125-1) for Pebble and (Scott Hend 30-1)
in Thailand.

This morning was Epic. Hend started the day with a 1 shot lead over Jaidee and Jiminez. I had Hend and my top pick, local favorite Jaidee to pay $300 each. I say epic because all 3 men in the final group were the only rel threats to win. I had 2 of the 3 - pretty good odds. I wanted Hend, so my friend and I could both win.

Hend is the longest player on the Euro Tour and has a great short game. Jaidee was hitting all the fairways and sticking approach shots all week. Hs putting, however, was a mess, missing short puts, I mean like 2 footers, all weekend. If not for that, he would have had a 5 shot lead going into Sunday. Jiminez, was Jiminez, he can close and crush the field on any given day.

They wind came up a bit, the fairways and green were hard and fast.  They battled it out. It was great to watch. You got to see every Tee shot, approach and put from all 3 leaders. If you watch golf, you know you don't always get to see that.

Jaidee double bogied on the back 9. Then came back. Then Jiminez fell hard, 3 shots back. Hend regained a 2 shot lead, then bogied too.

_____FINAL HOLE_____

On the last few holes some unknown named Andrew Dodtt came out of nowhere. 5 under for the day, he took a 1 shot lead going into 18.

He had this 10 footer to close it out and steal the tourney.
Missed by a hair.

Hend had a 30 foot chip to Eagle and force a playoff.
 Missed by a hair.

Jaidee left his first put short. He had an 8 foot put Tie it. The local favorite, the gallery was electric, sheering him on. Then silence....

Dodt looked on in the clubhouse

Jaidee's put headed toward the hole...

Just Left!

Dodt Stole it.
How do you Spell Relief? Well, this is what it Looks Like.

I just realized Dodt was on of my top 15 picks!
(See Above) He wasn't on the bet sheets in Vegas.
That would have been a nice 100-1. Bastards!

DON'T MISS OUT!
There's a whole nother world going on at 3am on Golf Channel. A few bucks, on a few players in the Euro Tour, can be worth the price of admission. Set your DRV next week, You never know what you might wake up to.
Get your bets in by early Wed. They are about 12 hours ahead of us most of the time.

Only Bet what you can Afford to Burn
One more friendly reminder
There is No Such Thing
As a Sure Thing!
Last week the odds on favorite dropped 5 shots late and lost
This week the Favorite missed a playoff by an inch.
$50 goes a long way with golf odds at 30 to 125-1
Have fun, but stay out of the trust fund and grocery money.
Good Luck!
