GOLF PICKS THAILAND AND FRANKLIN TEMPLETON SHOOTOUT

___________PREGAME___________

Thailand
I like Fitzpatrick 20-1 in Thailand a  lot here. Not a lock, but Due for 2nd win. With a limited budget this week - I will personally go hard on him and skip most of the others. I will cover Jaidee at 20-1 as he has been near or atop the leaderboards for weeks. Lipsky 60-1 is trending and also looks like a good value

Franklin Templeton
This may be worth skipping - small field at low odds. But - It is a small field so I will personally cover the longshots like Perry/Stricker 25-1 and O'Hair/Weir 80-1. Lets not forget how hot O'Hair was early this season - Good Value with a small mixed field.

We were on the right track this week. No Winners - But 5 Top 10s. (See R4 Below)
I've said before we will focus more on Top 10 bets next year.
I'm just exploring the best odds and betting strategy for those.

Looking for Value this week - not favorites - with the exception of Spieth.

GOLF PICK AUSTRALIAN OPEN AND ALFRED DUNHILL

THIS WEEKS TOP PICKS BOXED IN BLUE

AUSTRALIAN OPEN
Spieth started his run to fame here last year. The Aussie fans are the most positive and supportive on tour. Jordan has a good chance of running away with this one. But - he has not played for a while and - at what amounts to the odds you get on a close boxing match +175 - too rich for my blood.

Bryson Dechambeau shot 6 under last week in Australia to finish 2nd. He's still there and is the NCAA Singles Champion as well as the US Amateur Champion. I like his chances

#1 BRYSON DECHAMBEAU
(BEST ODDS IN VEGAS SILVER 7s or any "William Hill" 40-1 )
also
#2
BRETT RUMSFORD
(TOP 5 HERE LAST YEAR AT GOOD ODDS 40-1)

ALFRED DUNHILL
I've been on Lucas Bjerregaard every week since I discovered him in the stats about a month ago. He already went head to head vs Justin Rose and lost by a stroke. Lucas has come a stroke away from winning - twice in he last 3 or 4 weeks. I'm on him Big this week!

#1 PICK
BJERREGAARD
(BEST ODDS IN VEGAS WESTGATE 20-1 )
also
#2
JACO VAN ZYL
(SHOT SUPER LOW A FEW WEEKS BACK - 25-1)

GOLF PICKS BMW MASTERS, MAYAKOBA, LPGA

BMW MASTERS
Bjerreegaard back in the field this week after a shootout with Justin Rose 2 weeks ago. I would not be surprised if both go at it again. Staying on Woods, Olesen, Zanotti and Fitzpatrick. Also Jaco Van Zyl now - after a stellar performance 2 weeks ago and Justin Rose who has plays well here. Ross Fisher was 3rd last week and 2nd here last year.

FULL FIELD
(LEFT CLICK TO ENLARGE)

MAYAKOBA
Once again - the cats are away and young guns like Rodgers, Loupe, Varner, As Wegen have another shot this week at their first win. Hot solid players like Brendan Steele and Jason Bohn are must covers. Last weeks runner ups have a shot and Alex Cejka 16th last week and 16th last yr is worth a couple bucks at 60-1.

LPGA LORENA OCHOA
I'm staying on Yani Tseng, Gerina Piller and Brittany Lang (33-1) until they win. Can't find Yani in the field, but Gerina is (40-1). I am back on Q Beak (125-1) as well. Last year I liked Lizzette Salas (50-1) in Mexico - why not again this year.

WINNER!

PREGAME____________________________________

There are other player with a chance to win this week Andy Sullivan etc.
Stenson always a threat - but has never played this tourney.
I'm going to dance with the girls we came with this month.
Hoping one of those 2nds becomes a first this week.

That includes Kevin Na who is by far my favorite to Win at CIMB.

Gonna stay on young guns Thomas and Berger - until they get their first win.

Lahiri has been hot as hell and De Jonge is trending with a good history here - for his long awaited fist win.

There are also 4 or 5 longshots on the list - all of these are trending Hot now and or have played well at CIMB in the last 3 years.

I am staying on a Hot  Chris Woods and Bjerregaard along with a trending Zanotti at Turkish Airlines

POSTGAME

SHRINER'S OPEN
Another 2nd. This bridesmaid is gonna find a good movie to watch now. See you next week

HONG KONG OPEN

SATURDAY
WOW! If you missed the Hong Kong Open this morning - you missed the best head to head round played all year on any tour. Lucas Bjerregaard went toe to toe with Justin Rose. Rose went bogie free and needed 2 Eagles just to keep up with Bjerregaards near perfect 7 Under. This guy was leading a tourney a not too long ago and shot a final day 89!  It's taken a while for him to recover. Lets hope he can hang on - I found him capping this event and we have him $20 at 40-1 $820 on the line in the early morning on Golf Channel.

SUNDAY
On the Final Day - Justin Rose started strong taking an early 1 shot lead.
Bjerregaard caught him. Then Rose blinked, a lip out dropped him to (-15). Bjerregaard attacked and flew by him with a 2 shot lead to (-17)

On 14 Bjerregaard put one in the trees. A decent recovery shot left him with about a 4 footer for Bogey. He missed and before you know it - Justin Rose had a 2 shot lead going into 18.

On the Par 4 18th - Bjerregaard could have pulled driver but did not - he was on the green in 2 but with a 50 ft birdie put. Rose had 20 ft for his birdie and left it 10 feet short. Rose would Bogey and win by 1. A Birdie on 18 would have forced a Playoff and potentially a Hollywood ending to this Cinderella story.

With a $20 ticket on Bjerregaard that would have paid $800 at 40-1 - I was disappointed. But I got my monies worth. What a thrill and what great golf - Best I've seen all year. Lucas played an amazing tournament as did Rose. 1 bad shot for Lucas in 2 days cost him everything. Pretty brutal price to pay. However, I believe he has a bright future ahead and we will stay on this kid.

You're Back Lucas! Keep the Faith! I am and will be buying your stock the next time your name is on the bet sheets in Vegas.

NOTE: THIS IS OUR 4TH 2ND PLACE FINISH IN 7 DAYS. NEXT YEAR THOSE WILL BE WINNING TICKETS - AS WE IMPLEMENT OUR TOP 10 FINISH BETTING. (SEE PREVIOUS POST)

We still have 42 yr old Jason Bohn -  3 off the lead here at Shriner's. Go Jason!
